Swipe is making big moves in the budget tablet segment with the launch of the Halo Speed tab. At Rs 6,999, it sits right in front of the Funbook series from Micromax. What more does it have to offer? Let us see.
The Swipe Halo Speed Tablet launched on 23 May, has it right when it comes to price for a Rs 6,999 Android (v4.1) Dual SIM tablet. The demand for tabs with SIM calling facility is huge in the market and with Dual SIM facility supporting 2G calling, it fits well into that segment. Swipe CEO Shripal Gandhi seems to be making all the right moves in the budget segment.
But that’s not all, Swipe has made sure they add enough value to the product beside this big plus point. They have given a 1.5 GHz processor and a 1 GB RAM. A 4 GB internal memory and an option to extend it to 32 GB with a microSD card.
Plus there are the connectivity options in the form of miniHDMI, Wifi, GPRS and bluetooth apart from the obvious option of SIM card.
It has a 2 mega pixel rear camera and a VGA front camera. A decent 3000 mAh battery and a capacitive screen.
Lets wait and watch if it really satisfies the market expectations or not.
