Huawei Mediapad Vogue 7 unveiled

Huawei is on a roll and the recent launch of the high end Mediapad Vogue 7 goes to show its intentions of becoming a major player in the tablet market.

After cementing itself as the top telecom player in China, the company has extended its expertise in the equipment manufacturing space and is coming up with the latest models of tabs that are appealing to various sections of the masses as is evident from the launch of the two earlier versions of the Mediapad series in India.

The latest in the series Vogue 7 is expected to be available in Chinese and World markets by the end of next month. It is clearly aimed at being a competitor in the mid segment being priced for somewhere around Rs 24,990.

The USP of this tablet lies in its appeal for those who want a calling tablet. Yes, the Vogue 7 supports voice calling in both 2G and 3G networks and comes equipped with a unique Emotion UI(User Interface) on top of original Android v4.1 OS.

A 3 Mega pixel rear camera and a screen that provides a 1024 x 600 resolution seem like a very apt match as it is designed to provide a relatively good viewing experience.

The device is powered by the Huawei K3V2 Cortex A9 processor and is loaded with GC 800 graphics unit as well, providing a 1.2 GHz clock speed of the processor.

It’s thin (9.5 mm thick) and light 335 gm and has a sleek finish to its outer body that somehow captures a stylish look.

That apart, it has standard features of 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage space. All other connectivity and sensor interfaces have also been provided. Let us wait and watch if its magic rubs off on the users as well and helps Huawei achieves a standing in the emerging tablet pc market.
