Pantel Technologies has launched a budget tablet in India dubbed Penta T-Pad WS704DX which supports 3G. It had been priced Rs. 4999 and will be exclusively available at Homeshop18. Pantel has earlier launched BSNL tablet in year 2012.

Specification:-
Tablet runs Android Kitkat v4.4. It features 7-inch display with pixel resolution of 1024 * 600 and has been powered by dual core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz coupled with 1 GB of RAM. It packs 8 GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via. microSD card upto 32 GB. It has got dual SIm slots supporting 3G and can be used for voice calling.

Connectivity:-
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG and microUSB connectivity. It sports 2 MP cameras with LED flash on the back and 0.3 MP cameras at front. Battery is of 3000 mAh.

Spice has launched two new low cost tablets dubbed Mi-710 and Mi-730. Both the tablet has been listed on Homeshop and can be purchased at Rs. 3,999 and Rs. 4,999 respectively.

Similarities in Specification:-
Both tablets feature 7-inch HD display with pixel resolution of 1024 * 600 and running Android Kitkat OS v4.4. Tablet packs 512 MB RAM and 4 GB as internal storage which can be expanded via. microSD card upto 32 GB. Tablet PC has been backed by 2800 mAh battery.

Different Specs. :-
Mi-710 has 2 MP cameras at Back & 1.3 MP cameras at front and has been powered by Quadcore processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. It is available only in black color.

Mi-730 has dual Sim slots with 3G supports and supports voice calling. It front camera is of 0.3 MP and 2 MP camera at back and has been powered by Dualcore processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. It is available in white color variant.

iBall has launched series of Tablets and yet another budget Tablet “Slide 6531-Q40” for only Rs. 4,999. This Tablet runs on Android Kitkat v4.4.

Micromax Funbook P280, Just another tab

Micromax has by now well established itself in the mobile phone and tablet market offering price effective devices packed with some decent hardware. The P280 is yet another addition to the Funbook line-up. Priced at Rs. 4500 it is made and promoted to be used for official purposes like creating documents, emails etc. and intended to be used with a keyboard housed in a leather case. The P280 comes with no fancy hardware.

It has a 7 inch (17.7cm), capacitive, 5 multipoint touch screen with 800×480 pixels resolution. Powered by a single core 1GHz Cortex A8 processor it runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

The connectivity options offered are wifi and USB (can connect an external GSM/3G dongle) with no calling facility. Under the hood is a front facing 0.3 megapixel camera (main camera not provided) for conferencing. A powerful 2400 mAh battery is a plus point while the 512MB DDR3 RAM is a bit below the mark. It has got a standard 4GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via an external memory card. It has also got some cool built-in apps like Spuul, Opera Mini, kingsoft Office and M!Live.

In all, the P280 is a decent tab for moderate users with limited utility. Certainly not for heavy gamers and multimedia users. Go for it if all you need to do is documents, emails and internet on home/office wifi.

Lava Velo+ Tab, Android 4.2.2 Price Rs 4499

In the Indian budget tablet market, Lava has been a competitive player and attracts good faith in terms of affordability and reliability. Adding another star to its name, lava present E-Tab Velo + at an unbelievable price of Rs. 4,449. Yes… with 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, definitely Velo + is a treat. Being among top 3 Indian brands is not a piece of cake and Lava’s omnipresence is the proof of it. Lava has added another dimension to the tab market with Velo +. It is the dark horse in the race of budget tab.

The tab comes with 7 inch display (WVGA 800 X 400 Pixels) with a pixel density of 133 ppi. Though, the resolution quality is OK but affordability does not make it an issue. After all, what can you expect at such reasonable price? It is powered by 1 GHZ Cortex A8 single core processor and is supported by passable RAM of 512 MB. Mali 400 GPU is another run-of-the-mill. But as I said earlier, low price completely suffice fair to middling configuration. The internal storage capacity is 4GB which is expendable up to 32 GB with the help of microSD card.

The tab promotes 3G via external dongle and also supports WiFi and microUSB. It has fair battery ratings of 2500mAh. It is rigged with front facing 0.3 VGA camera and 3.5 mm audio jack. Unavailability of rear camera makes it a little flat. But the combo of nominal cost and decent configuration makes Velo+ a real bargain.
