Samsung is currently engaged in the expansion of its Galaxy Tab series line up with Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab A Plus. It has been added that naming scheme will be identical to the previous slates and it is expected to compete with its new slates in line up i.e. Galaxy Tab A, Galaxy Tab E and Galaxy Tab J.

Specification of Galaxy Tab A has been leaked. This line up will land with mid-range budget tablets. Both the tablets will be available in two variants when compared to its Display i.e. 8-inches and 9.7-inches. Galaxy Tab A Plus is going to be bundled with stylus S pen.

8-inch Galaxy Tab A and Tab A Plus will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad Core processor clocked at 1.2-GHz coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM. It will arrive with a pixel resolution of 1024 * 769. It will feature sporting camera of 5 MP as primary and 2 MP secondary camera. It will pack 16 GB of internal memory and 4200 mAh battery.

While, 9.7-inch Tab comes with 1.2-GHz Qualcomm APQ8016 chip coupled with 2 GB of RAM. It has marathon battery of 6,000 mAh.

Both the tab will come with 7.4mm thickness, providing better grip to hold. Tablets will be embedded with LTE and Wi-Fi support.

In upcoming days, Samsung has been planning to serve each segment of slate users with Samsung slates. Tab A series falls in mid-budget category and Galaxy Tab E and Tab J will serving the premium budget segments.

Microsoft is working on its first 10.1-inch tablets which will run on latest Operating System i.e. Windows 10. It has been revealed at GFXBench.

Windows 10 will be running OS platform with 10.1-inch display with a pixel resolution of 2560 * 1440. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Arm Cortex v7 Quad Core processor with Adreno 420 with 55 GB of ROM, translating to configuration of 64 GB inbuilt storage.

Last Windows RT Tablet: Nokia 2520
Windows RT was not quite successful due to failure in providing access to users to 32-bit and 64-bit applications.

Due to its Usability hindrance, Microsoft has stopped the production of Surface 2 tablet which was the only tablet coming under its production house and was still in production. Lumia 2520 was also killed for the same reasons.

Windows RT to discontinue:-
But at last, Microsoft has sell tons of tablets running Windows RT OS platform designed for tablets. As a result of it, Microsoft has to continue its life support.

Some features of Windows 10 can be added to Windows RT platform, but many of the features will not be added.

Dell is all set to expand its Venue series, with 10-inch FHD display, Android Kitkat, Intel Atom processor. If you love to have large screen tablets this will be the alternate option to switch.

Venue Last Tablet:-
Back in July, Dell has added two new tablets to its Android series. Venue 7 and Venue 8 which were powered by Intel processor.

Venue 10 Specification:-
Dell Venue 10, will feature sporting 10-inch FHD Display with a pixel resolution of 1920 * 1200. It will be powered by 1.8-GHz Intel Atom Z3735F embedded with Intel HD Graphics.
RAM will be of 2 GB and inbuilt space packs 32 GB, out of which 24 GB will be available for use. Rest of the space will be used by its OS, Android Kitkat 4.4.4 .

Venue 10 Connectivity:-

Connectivity features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. The rear camera will be of 5 MP supporting HDR, face detection, Auto focus and Full HD video recording while the Front camera will be backed by 1.2 MP.

What’s Different:-
Compared to its ancestor, Venue 10 packs more inbuilt storage and RAM. It has got better pixel resolution than Venue 7 and Wider Display of 10 inch. There is no availability of price, when talking of Venue 8. It was charged $199.

Samsung is known for its premium tablet, Samsung Tab 2 and Tab 3, is also planning to launch a budget tabet, i.e tablet below Rs 10,000. The budget tab is called Samsung SM-T116 and has reached India for testing. Other then that another premium tab called Samsung SM-T555 is also under testing.

Samsung SM-T116, Budget Range Tab :-

Samsung has packed SM-T116 tab with 7 inch screen. Few other specifications are Android Kitkat will be OS platform, powered with 1.2-GHz Spectrum SC8830 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. It will come with a price tag of Rs. 6500+ .

Indian budget tab market is ruled by Micromax, Lava, Digiflip etc. Mostly Indian companies are the top runner. With the brand like Samsung if comes out with low range tab then it will make these company to rethink the strategies.

Samsung SM-T555 or Galaxy Tab 5 :-
It has been spotted at Zauba website, with model no SM-T555. Samsung upcoming tablet termed Galaxy Tab 5 which will feature 10-inch display. Expected cost is around Rs. 22,571.

Now, Tablet manufacturer are concentrating towards larger screen display. It has been spotted that Apple, Sony and Microsoft are working on tablet which will feature sporting display ranging in between 12-14 inches. Samsung is the key player when it comes to larger display tablets, Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 and Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 are into the arena.

Specification has not been out but it is expected that it will hit the shelves with 64-bit Sanpdragon 410 chipset and OS will be Android L.

Indian Government Official is all set to review the specification of Aakash 4. It has been reveal that the specification are not meeting its standard. In a report, DEITY has audited and message parliamentary committee that the Vendors are not meeting the promise as stated in tenders which include 3G connectivity via modem, Java Support and the likes. It will be a ultra low cost tablet which is going to be launched in upcoming days. The idea behind the launching of low cost tablets were to bridge the digital gap in the country.

HRD ministry has started the project and it was stated that the budget were fixed and under the allotted budget manufacturer were asked to supply tablets. From the companies side it is said that it is wrong way of planning,  first the specification required has to be submitted to the manufacturer and according to that company will submit the expected cost .

Proposed specification of Aakash 4 features 7-inch LCD display with a pixel resolution of atleast 800 * 480 with 16-bit or above color depth. Minimum brightness proposed were of 290 cd/m2, followed by minimum contrast ratio of 500.

Government had propose open source applications on it and the platform for OS will be Android . It will be powered by a processor scoring atleast 1469 points in Antutu. It should have RAM of 1 GB followed by 4 GB of ROM. The external support for storage should pack 32 GB of space and also include support for USB storage devices, Keyboard, mouse, 3G/LTE data connectivity. You can check the details here.

Government has asked Stakeholders to share their recommendation on the technical specification of Aakash 4 within 2 weeks.

When talking of series, Aakash 2 is now followed by Aakash 4. It means Aakash 3 is somewhere missing.

1. Multi-Tasking:-
Till now, Android has account for more than 65 percent of users worldwide. But, one question mark arises. Is Multi-tasking support is better than Apple iOS. For now, the expert has reviewed that iOS is the best option for Multi-tasking feature. But with the launch of Android L, multi-tasking will no longer be a major issue.

2. Hybrid:-
Now-a-days all tablet manufacturer giants like-Sony, Microsoft, Apple have been rumored are coming with Hybrid Tablets i.e. tablet cum laptop. But most of these tablet are based on Windows OS, in year 2015 Android tablet with with hybrid feature will be seen more often.

3. Bigger Touch Screen:-
Now-a-days companies are fighting for the bigger touch screen and users too. It is expected that Microsoft at year end will come with 14-inch Tablet Computer followed by other companies.

4. Memory:-
Tablets will be bigger in size so as their memory. Higher RAM and internal storage tablet will be seen in coming year.

5. Better Battery:-
If you are using a tab of more than 10-inch screen size, battery back up is the major problem. Companies are also working on longer battery performance.
