October 17, 2014 by Tablet Guru Leave a Comment

Google Nexus 9

Google has introduced Tablet named Nexus 9 with new Android L, abbreviated as Lollipop v 5.0. Google had work really hard and has come with latest OS. But it has certain limitations which if met can make it more appealing.

See the Features and Specification of Nexus 9.

1. Screen size of 9-inches is not for Movers

With the screen size of 9 inches, tablet will not be handy. As the Nexus 9 punchline says ” For movers and makers“. With 9 inch screen it can be for makers but  for movers it might not as handy as conventional 7 inch tablet.

2. 32 GB internal memory

It come with inbuilt memory of 16 GB and 32 GB. Now a days 16 GB is of no use and with 32 GB memory, transfer 4 HD movies, one high end game like FIFA and half of your memory is done. With no external SD card support and such data consuming media files and games. You must think twice before buying this.

3. Sim Calling

SIM slot is present but calling feature is disable. This might be another let down for many user. Google just want to make sure that you buy both Nexus 6 mobile and Nexus 9 tablet.

4. RAM

9 inch screen will prompt user for multitasking and with 2 GB RAM it will tough to manage process consuming app & games. Tablet will be ultimately slow down if multiple app runs together. Even the mobiles are coming with 3 GB RAM, some extra RAM  would have appreciated.

5. Price

With the starting price of $399 in USA and Rs 25,000 in India for 16GB wifi model, Google is seems to asking too much.

All new Nexus 7 (2013)

December 22, 2013 by Ankur Pratap 2 Comments

asus-nexus 7-2013
Lighter then ever, lasts even longer
Google and Asus have done wonders by launching Nexus 7 (2013) which is the ultimate buy for anyone looking for sleekness, lightness and swiftness all at one place. An amazing upgrade from the original Nexus, the Nexus 7(2013) has a mature slab like look with a soft touch plastic back. The only physical buttons are the power button at the top and the volume rocker below it. Though it takes a little time getting acquainted to using it, it is at a favorable position for both left-handers and right-handers. It is light and almost pocket-able. The mere 8.65mm thickness and 290g weight makes it quite portable. The 9hrs battery life make it a good carry around. The panel is incredibly bright and is good for outdoor usability.
The most striking feature is its display. The 7.02 inch 1920×1200 display has superb color accuracy . It provides full utility for every purpose from reading an eBook to viewing photos and movies. Text looks gorgeous at virtually any size. Photos and videos  look vibrant without becoming over saturated. And the stereo speakers on the back of the tab too contribute to the experience. Placed on the far left and right ends of the tab ,they are loud enough to watch a movie without headsets in landscape mode. Playing games is engrossing too. Adreno graphics chip is well equipped for playing 3D games. With a RAM of 2 gb and 1.5GHz processor it can pretty much cope with everything. Navigation through the Android OS is smooth too.

The 5mp rear camera includes auto-focus but doesn’t have a flash. The inclusion of the 1.2mp front camera is a definite thumbs up. Bluetooth 4.0,NFC, wireless display and dual-band 802.11 and Wi-Fi are all on board ,as is Qi wireless charging. The provision of Qi wireless charging at such low cost is highly commendable.

Some of the limitations with Nexus 7 2013 include the unavailability of micro sd card slot. Overall it is an amazing tablet at a reasonable price. (But if you had wished for SIM features as well, don’t be disappointed. There is “Nexus 7 C (2013)” for you to cherish.)

Google Nexus 7, 2nd Generation?

May 19, 2013 by Tablet Guru 2 Comments

Google Nexus 7 new| Android 4.3|Wireless charging!
Newer and Better

If rumors are to be believed, we will be able to see the successor of Google Nexus 7 adorning the the store shelves very soon, possibly in 2 months time. These rumors are quite persuading because they all have been found bubbling from inside the company. Exactly a year ago, we had the original Google Nexus 7 and after all this time, we can have a newer and better Nexus 7, ready for the launch.

Though there was no mention about the release of the updated Nexus 7 at the Google I/O held almost a week ago, our experts believe that this was intentional from the Google’s part, so as to rule out any slackening in the demand of the present Nexus 7 model.

Albeit nothing is official yet, we have fair enough info on the impending launch of Google Nexus 7 and so allow us to list the putative specs which the Nexus 7 (2nd GEN) will be featuring differently:-

1) The new Nexus 7 will be hosting a display of crystal-clear & crisp 1920x1200pixels against the previous fairly generous 1280x800pixels.

2) The Tab is supposed to be out donning the Android’s latest version release, v4.3

3) Unlike the present Nexus 7, the future one will have a 5MP rear camera, which otherwise was none.

4) This one could have wire-less charging as well.

5) Despite of all these tweaks and improvements, the price factor remains unchanged(Phew!). The Tablet PC is expected to come tied to $200 written price tag only, for the 8GB storage version.
